Dogs have been a large part of my life for many years. I started shooting as a young lad which led to running a local shoot for a time, but it was the dogs which soon became my passion. The Labradors being my favourite.
After training my own dogs for shooting, I then became interested in competitions and field trials. I made my first trial dog up to field trial champion in 2004/5 and my next dog up to field trial champion the following season, along with several field trial winners including Millershook Anna, whom I trained and bred. Millershook Anna went on to win The Italian Retriever Championships in 2015/16 after winning trials in the UK. In 2018 I made Sandicliffe Jude of Millershook up to field trial champion and I have also qualified three different dogs for the IGL Retriever Championships. I spend my time training and teaching and I am also a Kennel Club panel judge.
